Welcome to the CLF 2.x Discussion Space
Welcome to the CLF 2.0 discussion space hosted by OpenConcept. We have set up this site to feature elements of the CLF brand, the enhance accessibility and to test out Web 2.0 tools using the Drupal CMS Framework.
This is a community site and we do hope that we get participation from government webmasters who use a variety of systems. The main goal is to provide another venue for collaboration and promote learning.
Last Minute Invitation to the Drupal in Government Showcase
Sorry for the previous attempt to invite you to the Drupal in Government showcase that is taking place at the Code Factory tomorrow afternoon. For those who didn't attempt to read through the HTML, here's a text version of the same message:

Dublin Core & the Drupal CLF 2.0 Theme
I've recently made some changes to the CLF 2.0 theme for drupal so that Dublin Core is supported in the theme. Details of the modificaitons to the theme have been posted to our blog. The specifications for Dublin Core came from the CLF 1.0 definitions and aren't clearly stated in the CLF 2.0 specifications. However, after asking for clarification I got the following response:
"CLF 2.0 does not mention the metadata requirements (thought it can be found in the CLF 1.0-2.0 mapping). HOWEVER, Metadata MUST still be applied to GC websites, as per TBITS 39.1. The mandatory DC elements are: Title, Creator, Date (Created, and Modified as appropriate), Language and Subject. As per TBITS 39.2, controlled vocabularies must be used, and the Core Subject Thesaurus is the default source to use with the Subject element. Implementation Guidelines for practical details [is a useful guideline].
Google's Moderator for CLF Questions
Wanted to encourage people to submit questions & vote on questions about the CLF 2.0 through Google's Moderator application. I'm hoping that people will use this tool (as Obama's team has), to help flesh out questions about the Common Look and Feel and provide guidelines for things that haven't worked their way into the definition yet (like links to social networking sites).
Having a space to ask questions and get answers is going to be important as the CLF continues to evolve.
CLF Theme and Drupal
For those in the theming world, Common Look and Feel for the Internet 2.0 (aka CLF) is the source of many hours of CSS tinkering and artistic compromise but necessary if you want to make a Government of Canada compliant website
The context of CLF is noble:
